NEW & UNHEARD: My Plastic Sun - Falling Awake

Prepare yourself for your heartstrings to be well and truly retugged. Whilst My Plastic Sun's "Give it All Away" was forelorn and heartbreaking, "Falling Awake" is healing, warm and utterly, utterly spellbinding in its beauty. And in particular, it must be mentioned that singer Johnny Cummings' vocals are windswept and content, and his falsetto is shimmering perfection.

The band is working on a full length CD, due Summer 2012 (perfect timing), tentatively titled "Jumping Karma Trains", and judging by their efforts so far, this could be the one to watch.

FOR FANS OF: Beach House, Coldplay, Real Estate

DJ Fresh - Hot Right Now (Ft. Rita Ora) (Zomboy Remix)

"Hot Right Now" hit number 1 last week, and this summery, dubsteppy mix is my favourite version. 90s dance piano bliss gives way to a Skrillex-esque bass squelch, and it's all delicious.

Wild Belle - Keep You

Fans of Lana Del Rey will probably love this. A lush, lazy dub shuffle with a sugary, sultry voice not dissimilar to Ms Del Rey's crooning a disgruntled blues ditty over the top. It's perfectly pitched, low key and thoroughly addictive. Loving the grouchy brass snorts that drop mid way.

Marina & The Diamonds - Homewrecker

Marina seems to be channeling Pet Shop Boys with this new song, available for free on her website on Monday, and there's something undeniably addictive about it. It's flawed, odd and gloriously OTT, but I think that's what we've come to expect from Ms Diamandis. I predict that 2012's "Electra Heart" LP will have a lot more surprises than the commercially-hungry 'Radioactive' led us to believe.

Santigold - Disparate Youth

Never really gave Santigold the time of day, but "Disaparate Youth" is an airy, classy dubstep-flecked number that is a total 180 from the recent bass bombast of "Big Mouth".

Diplo & Usher (!!!) - Climax

Whether you're a fan of either Usher or Diplo, you'll want to hear this. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Usher's voice floats in shivering falsetto (satisfyingly free of the autotune that laced his voice on Guetta's "Without You") and Diplo's itsy bitsy beats and warm, pulsating synths are the perfect mix of chilled and quirky. It's an unexpected but delightfully triumphant collaboration.
